Chinese, UAE investors express interest in En+ HPP construction projects - senior manager

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Investors from China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have expressed interest in En+ Group's hydroelectric power-plant construction projects, Mikhail Khardikov, head of the company's energy division, told reporters at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.

En+ previously announced plans to build five HPPs: Telmamskaya (450 MW), Nizhneboguchanskaya (660 MW), Motyginskaya (1 GW), Mokskaya (1.2 GW), Krapivinskaya (345 MW) stations.

According to Khardikov, there have not been any specific decisions taken on financing the projects, though investors are interested.

"For them, it is environmental, social and governance clean energy," Khardikov said.

Khardikov noted that the projects of the Nizhneboguchanskaya and Telmamskaya HPPs had already passed the pre-feasibility study stage, and the Mokskaya HPP the feasibility study had been completed back in 1997. Public hearings on the Krapivinskaya HPP have been held, and the station is nearly ready for launch.

Khardikov said that building the Nizhneboguchanskaya HPP was estimated at 89 billion rubles in 2021 prices, the Motyginskaya HPP at 97 billion rubles, and the Telmamskaya HPP at 100 billion rubles.
