Putin, Lukashenko discuss progress of Russian special military operation protecting Donbas civilian population - Kremlin

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a phone call with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, the Kremlin press service said on Friday.

"Progress of Russia's special military operation aimed to protect the Donbas civilian population was discussed. Vladimir Putin underlined that the operation was proceeding as planned and all missions would be accomplished. The Belarusian president voiced support for the actions of the Russian side," the press service said.

"Certain aspects of the second round of talks between Russian and Ukrainian representatives, which took place in Belarus yesterday, were also touched upon," it said.

The sides agreed on further contacts.
