Airbnb suspending all operations in Russia and Belarus - company

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - The home-sharing platform Airbnb is suspending all operations in Russia and Belarus, the company's CEO Brian Chesky said on Twitter.

"Airbnb is suspending all operations in Russia and Belarus," Chesky said.

The U.S. service Airbnb allows travelers to rent lodging, ranging from rooms with the hosts to private cottages, directly from owners. Airbnb charges service fees both from owners and guests. The company is represented in more than 100,000 cities worldwide.
