LPR forces continue offensive in direction of Kramatorsk, DPR forces narrowing Mariupol encirclement - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - The Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) forces continue their offensive in the direction of Kramatorsk, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"The group of troops of the Luhansk People's Republic, with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces, continued their offensive actions and have reached Krasny Liman, Yampil Privolye. The offensive in the direction of Kramatorsk continues," Konashenkov told a briefing on Friday.

Units of the armed force of the Donetsk People's Republic conducted a successful offensive and advanced up to eight kilometers last night, taking under their control the populated areas of Nazarivka, Kuibysheve, Kalinine, Novohryhorivka, he said. "The DPR group of troops continued tightening their encirclement of the city of Mariupol and took the Lenin Plant under control," he said. "The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued their offensive, acting in adjacent flanks with the DPR units, taking under their control Verkhnya Krinitsya, Komsomolske, Chistopolye, Novopoltavka, Komysh-Zoria, Truzhnevo," he said.
