Provocation at Zaporizhzhya NPP aims to accuse Russia of creating radioactive contamination area - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The provocation staged at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant aims to accuse Russia of creating an area of radioactive contamination, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"The goal of the provocation staged by the Kyiv regime at the nuclear facility is to accuse Russia of creating an area of radioactive contamination," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Friday.

"The swift statement by Zelensky, who alleged a threat to the nuclear power plant, and his talks with Washington and London, leave no doubt about that," he said.

"All of that proves a criminal plot of the Kyiv regime or Zelensky's complete loss of control over the operations of Ukrainian sabotage groups involving foreign mercenaries," Konashenkov said.
