New ICBM Sarmat to strengthen Russia's nuclear capability this year - Rogozin

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - - The new intercontinental missile Sarmat will be added to the Russian strategic nuclear forces this year, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said.

"Our strategic weapons are in excellent shape. Moreover, I want to tell you that this year, we'll add another intercontinental ballistic system, Sarmat, which will give us secure life guarantees for 30-40 years ahead, just as the Voyevoda system gave us, to the arsenal of strategic nuclear forces," Rogozin said on Channel One.
