Putin: Russian soldiers, officers fighting in Ukraine against threats from 'anti-Russia' being created by West
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russian soldiers are fighting during the special operation in Ukraine to prevent "any anti-Russia" from threatening us, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Right now, our soldiers and officers in Ukrainian territory are fighting for Russia, for the peaceful life of Donbas citizens, for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, to prevent any anti-Russia, which the West spent years creating just outside our borders, from threatening us, particularly with nuclear weapons, as has been the case in the recent past," Putin said at a meeting of the Russian Security Council on Thursday.
