Russia to file CAS appeal against FIFA and UEFA ban on its teams

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - The Russian Football Union (RFU) plans a legal challenge against the decision by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to ban Russians from their tournaments, the RFU stated.

"The [RFU] will send an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne against the FIFA and UEFA decisions to ban Russian teams from participation in international competitions," the statement said.
