Top management of Samruk Kazyna, Samruk Energy, nat'l rail operator suspected of inflicting 3.8 bln tenge damages

NUR-SULTAN. March 3 (Interfax) - An investigation is underway against the top management of Kazakhstan's National Wealth Fund Samruk Kazyna JSC, Samruk Energy JSC and national rail operator Kazakhstan Temir Zholy over abuse of office with the aim of providing benefits for private companies, the press office of Kazakhstan's Anti-Corruption Service reported on Thursday.

"The state suffered damages on an especially large scale worth 3.8 billion tenge," the report says.

Other information in the interests of the investigation is not disclosed, the report says.
