Russian human rights commissioner says reports citing her on possible introduction of martial law in Russia are info provocation
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said reports on the possible introduction in Russia of martial law are a provocation, her press service said on Thursday.
"My colleagues, regional human rights commissioners, have started receiving messages, allegedly on my behalf, on alleged introduction of nationwide martial law. I am calling for such information provocations to be ignored," Moskalkova was quoted as saying on her Telegram channel.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. Its purposes are defense of the people of Donbas and demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
