Ekho Moskvy breached law, decision on liquidation made by radio station's owner - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Ekho Moskvy breached the law, and the decision on its liquidation was made by the owner, but it is possible to resume the work of the radio station if he finds it reasonable, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"The radio station has breached the law, the right of the Prosecutor General's Office was used to take relevant measures, especially during the special operation that is now being conducted in Ukraine. And the owner made such decision. That's how it should be treated," Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

Responding to a question as to whether the work of the radio station can be restored, he said: "If the owner finds it reasonable, then no doubt."

"But I am saying this again, all radio stations have an owner. And the owner decides whether this or that asset, in this case, a media outlet, should continue or stop operation," Peskov said.
