Claims of possible martial law in certain Russian regions 'hoaxes' - Peskov
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has denied rumors of pending martial law in a number of Russian regions.
Journalists asked Peskov to comment on such reports of certain media outlets at a press briefing on Thursday. They also asked for comment on reports, which say that men of draft age will be prohibited from leaving Russia after March 8.
"No, these are hoaxes. There are nothing but hoaxes published on social networks, which citizens send to one another. One should be very careful about information and not to fall victim to rumors and fakes," Peskov said.
