World listening to Russia, but hard to say how much they hear - Lavrov

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - The world is listening to Russia, but it is unlikely that they hear us, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"I am certain that the world is listening to Russia. It is now hard to say how much they hear," Lavrov told a briefing in Moscow on Thursday.

"Most understand what we are talking about. I think most understand what we are talking about, but they have to obey the toughest, cruelest diktat," he said.

"Frankly speaking, of course, it's very bad when people get killed - servicemen, let alone civilians, women and children, like it has happened for eight years in Donbas and like it is now happening during our special operation, which is aimed at ending any war that could take place on the Ukrainian territory and come from the Ukrainian territory," Lavrov said.
