Kyiv says Belovezhskaya Pushcha will not be venue for second round of talks with Russia

KYIV. March 3 (Interfax) - The venue for the second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will not be Belovezhskaya Pushcha, leader of the Servant of the People faction in Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada Davyd Arakhamia said.

"Information that the talks will be held in Belovezhskaya Pushcha is not true. Indeed, the talks will take place, but in another venue. All details will be provided later," Arakhamia said on Facebook.

The Office of the President of Ukraine said earlier that the Ukrainian delegation is on its way to talks, which are expected to take place in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry also said that the talks would be held in the "hunter's house" in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

"The 'hunter's house' is ready to host the delegations of Russia and Ukraine for the second round of negotiations," the Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

The ministry also published a photo of the hall prepared for the second round of Russia-Ukraine talks.

The first round of the talks was held in Belarus' Gomel region, near the border with Ukraine, on February 28. According to Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, at the first round "the parties set out a number of priority issues on which certain decisions were outlined."
