VK blocks pages of Ekho Moskvy and TV Rain

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The VK social media platform has blocked the official group of the Ekho Moskvy radio station and the page of the TV Rain television channel (added by the Russian Justice Ministry to the register of foreign-agent media) as required by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.

"The VK administration has blocked the Ekho Moskvy group as required by the Prosecutor General's Office. The Prosecutor General's Office detected in the group's activities 'the intentional and systematic distribution of materials containing false information regarding the essence of the special military operation in the territory of Ukraine'," the radio station said on social media.

TV Rain, in turn, has said that its VK page has also been blocked on the same grounds.
