Russia, Ukraine to discuss ceasefire - Medinsky
MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The agenda of the Russian-Ukrainian talks in Belarus' Brest region involves issues relating to a ceasefire, Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said.
"As you know, last week we discussed positions and voiced a number of Russian proposals inter-related to an immediate ceasefire. On some of the proposals, we actually did find mutual understanding even at the negotiating table [at the first round on February 28]. However, on others, the more fundamental ones, which is quite expected, the Ukrainian side took time to reflect and to consult with Kyiv," Medinsky told reporters on the Rossiya-24 (VGTRK) television channel on Wednesday.
The Russian delegation is already at the venue for the second round of talks due on Thursday.
