Amendments to Criminal Code on liability for fakes on Russian troops submitted to State Duma - MP Piskaryov

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - Amendments to the Criminal Code introducing punishment for false information on the activities of the Russian Armed Forces have been submitted to the State Duma, State Duma Security and Anti-Corruption Committee head Vasily Piskaryov said.

"The amendments have been signed and submitted to the Legislation Committee today to be considered in a State Duma session," Piskaryov told reporters on Wednesday.

The document is not a separate bill, but amendments to the existing bill, which has already passed first reading, he said. Thus, the proposed amendments may be promptly adopted.
