DPR allows settlements in hryvni, rubles in Donbas territories left by Ukrainian army

DONETSK. March 2 (Interfax) - Settlements in two currencies, the Ukrainian hryvnia and the Russian ruble, are now allowed on the territories of Donbas left by the Ukrainian army, the Central Republic's Bank of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said.

"Cash settlements in two currencies, rubles and hryvni, are allowed on the new territories. The rate will be 2.7, both buying and selling, a common rate for all retail chains," the DPR official site reported, citing Andrei Petrenko, chairman of the DPR Central Republic's Bank.
