Belarusian Emergency Situations Ministry says ready to take refugees from Ukraine

MINSK. March 2 (Interfax) - Belarus is ready to provide shelter to everyone who will arrive in the country from Ukraine, and places for the temporary accommodation of refugees have been determined, the Belarusian Emergency Situations Ministry said.

"Belarus is open to citizens of our brotherly Ukraine and is ready to give shelter to everyone who needs it," the agency said on Wednesday.

The Gomel authorities earlier said some 25 families from Ukraine had asked border guards to host them on the territory of Belarus at the Andreevka checkpoint in the Dobrush district.
