Russian countersanctions to minimize damage from actions aimed to undermine its economic integrity - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The countersanctions to be imposed by Moscow will minimize the damage from actions aimed at undermining the integrity of the Russian economy, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Measures need to be taken; there are certain hostile actions that seek to destabilize and undermine the integrity of our economy," Peskov said.

"Therefore, measures are being taken to help minimize the risks and consequences and to protect us from any attempts at economic destabilization. That's all," he said.

"Given that the hostile measures are unprecedented, our actions should be harsh, well-considered and distinct," Peskov said.
