Russian economy under attack but will remain standing - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - A strong blow has been dealt to the Russian economy but it will remain standing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Indeed, the Russian economy has been under severe pressure; a strong blow has been dealt to it. Yet we have strength, potential and plans, and energetic efforts are being undertaken. It will remain standing," Peskov told reporters on Wednesday in response to a request for comment on U.S. President Joe Biden's remark that the Russian economy is shattered as a result of Western sanctions.
