Peskov on decision to take Ekho Moskvy off air: it's Prosecutor General's Office's decision, we are not commenting, president is informed

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - The Kremlin said it cannot comment on the Russian Prosecutor General's Office's decision to take the radio station Ekho Moskvy off the air, and the president has been informed about this situation.

"No doubt, the president has been informed about this decision. It's the Prosecutor General's Office's decision, it is now using its powers, and doing its job," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on the decision to take Ekho Moskvy off the air and responding to a question as to whether the president was informed.

"We can't comment on it in any way and we don't want to. We'll see," Peskov said.
