Guarantees for safe return to Russia from abroad of works of art still valid - Russian presidential envoy on int'l cultural cooperation

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - All existing guarantees on the safe return to Russia of works of art from abroad continue to be in force, Russian presidential envoy on int'l cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi told Interfax.

"Clearly, we are living in some new circumstances, and the question arises about the safe return of works of art that are at various exhibits [back] to Russia [...] All guarantees applying to works of art are currently in force," Shvydkoi said, responding to a question as to whether there will be problems with the return of works of art displayed on Russia's behalf at foreign exhibits.

Certain problems are arising due to the closure of airspace, but they are solvable, he said.
