Donetsk reports rebuffing Ukrainian attack in direction of Horlivka

DONETSK. March 2 (Interfax) - Ukrainian troops tried to break into Horlivka, the clash led to casualties, and several DPR servicemen were captured, Eduard Basurin, a representative of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR)'s People's Militia, said.

"Militants of the first battalion of the Ukrainian 95th air assault brigade [of Ukraine], their forces amounting to an entire company, tried to take over our positions in the Bessarabka area while being covered with artillery fire. The enemy suffered losses in the fight and had to retreat," Basurin told reporters on Wednesday.

"During the clash with the uneven forces of the enemy, two servicemen of the DPR People's Militia were killed and some servicemen were captured," he said.
