Mexico says won't support any restrictions on Russia over Ukraine

MADRID. March 2 (Interfax) - Mexico will not apply any restrictive economic measures on Russia in the wake of the situation in Ukraine, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said.

"We aren't going to take any repressive economic measures," EFE news agency quoted Lopez Obrador as saying at a press conference on Tuesday.

At the same time, he pointed out that Mexican diplomatic traditions provide for settling conflicts through dialogue. He said the Mexican authorities have not yet reached out either to Russian or Ukrainian representatives.
