Kyiv says no one hurt in TV tower strike

KYIV. March 1 (Interfax) - Kyiv residents have been asked to tune in to regional channels until backup broadcast is restored, Ukraine's state service for special communication and information protection said.

"We ask citizens to use channel search on television sets in order to get access to regional channels. Luckily, none of the staff was injured," the service said on Telegram.

Measures are in place to resume broadcasting in regions, it said.

The interior ministry said that a strike on Kyiv's television tower hit the apparatus room, causing television channels to go off air for a while.
