Ukraine's $57 bln debt should be written off - audit chamber head

KYIV. March 1 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Audit Chamber chairman Valeriy Patskan has called for the country's foreign debt to be written off because of Russia's special military operation.

"In view of this, our foreign lenders should be asked to write off Ukraine's debts. Currently, our foreign debt stands at 1.6 trillion hryvni, or over $57 billion," Patskan wrote on Facebook.

"International financial organizations should review their debt policy and annul Ukraine's debts," he said.
