EU not expecting Georgia to take measures that may put it in harm's way - Zourabichvili

TBILISI. March 1 (Interfax) - No one is expecting Georgia to take measures that may put it in a harm's way in connection with the Ukraine situation and the EU sanctions imposed on Russia, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili said.

"No one is expecting us to take measures that may put this country in a harm's way but everyone is expecting us to show solidarity [with Ukraine]," Zourabichvili said in a video address from Paris on Monday.

All of Europe is united, and Georgia should be a part of this unity, she said.

Zourabichvili added that she would travel from Paris to Brussels on Tuesday.

She said she was visiting Paris and Brussels to express Georgia's solidarity with Ukraine.

"A new window is opening, and the Europeans are ready to take a fresh look at the future of Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova," Zourabichvili said.

She said on Twitter earlier on Monday that she met with French President Emmanuel Macron.
