Ukrainian cities controlled by Russian troops leading normal life - Russian Permanent Representative to UN
MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The cities in Ukraine controlled by Russian troops are functioning normally, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said on Monday.
"In the cities that went under the control of Russian troops, these cities are leading a normal life - infrastructure facilities are working there, transport is working, and order is being maintained jointly with the local administration," he said at an emergency session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on the situation in Ukraine.
"The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is also functioning normally," he said.
"The Russian troops are not threatening Ukrainian civilians, they are not firing on civilian facilities," Nebenzya said.
