Kremlin acknowledges severity of sanctions, but says Russia has potential to mitigate damage

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Western sanctions on Russia are tough, but the country has the required capacity to compensate for the damage, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"These are severe sanctions, they are problematic, but Russia has the required potential to compensate for the damage in the face of these sanctions," Peskov told reporters.
