Russia to rationally respond to personal sanctions against Putin - Peskov

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Russia will be rational in its response to the personal sanctions against President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"First and foremost, the Russian response will be based on functionality and our national interests," Peskov said in response to a question whether Russia might mirror the sanctions.

As to whether Russia was going to impose sanctions "on anyone in particular," Peskov said, "Did I say so? We will do what meets our interests."
