Peskov notes importance of minimizing losses from CBR sanctions

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - It is important to minimize losses from the sanctions imposed on the Russian Central Bank (CBR), which aim at preventing it from using forex reserves, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Truth be told, I would avoid any emotional comments for now. What matters is the efforts taken to minimize the consequences," Peskov said at a press briefing on Monday in response to a question how Russia would assess the sanctions.

"We will make assessments later. For now, our primary objective is to minimize the consequences and to organize the work process in the new reality. Professionals are doing so," Peskov said.
