People in border districts of Russia's Kursk region warned of possible terrorist, sabotage threat - governor

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Residents of border districts of Russia's Kursk region have been warned about possible threats of terrorism and sabotage, but no incidents have happened so far, Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit said.
"Antiterrorism committees have met, and people in border districts have been warned about possible terrorist manifestations and sabotage, but our border is well protected, border guards are on high alert, and there have been no incidents so far," Starovoit said on the Rossiya-24 television channel (VGTRK).
Security of social, cultural, educational and transport facilities has been tightened since February 24, he said.
Security of the unfinished Kursk nuclear power plant has also been tightened, while construction is continuing, Starovoit said.
