DPR forces take control of 18 populated localities since start of special operation - Basurin

DONETSK. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have freed another populated locality with fire support of the Russian army, and a total of 18 populated localities have been taken under control since the beginning of the special operation, DPR militia spokesman Eduard Basurin said.

"As of February 28, 2022, the DPR militia controls 18 populated localities, which were earlier held by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, namely, Pavlopil, Pyshchevyk, Viktorivka, Bohdanivka, Novohnativka, Mykolaivka, Rybinsk, Trudovske, Vasylivka, Prokhorivka, Starohnativka, Svobodne, Donske, Anadol, Andriivka, Hnutove, Hranitne, and Bugas," Basurin told reporters on Monday.

Fighting is underway to free Talakivka, Kamyanka and Volnovakha, he said.
