Russian forces down 1 Ukrainian plane, destroy 4 others on ground - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed one Ukrainian combat plane and destroyed four others on the ground over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed eight combat vehicles for Buk M-1 air defense systems, guidance stations for S-300 and Buk M-1 air defense systems, three radar sites with P-14 stations, and four combat planes on the ground, and they also downed one combat plane in the air," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
