United Russia reports increase in hacking attacks on its resources, hacking attempts

MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The resources of the party United Russia are experiencing massive DDoS attacks, the party's press service said.

"The attacks on the party's site ER.RU reached their peak of one gigabit - it was registered from 260,000 IP addresses. Most of them came from Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania," the press service said in a report published on the official Telegram channel of the party on Sunday.

There have also been attacks on the party's online infrastructure unrelated to the site - on the BGP network, which connects the party's digital ecosystem with the Internet. Experts are also recording attempts to explore open ports and identify versions of the software used by the party.

"That can indicate preparations for a new attack," the report said.
