Rosaviatsia, Foreign Ministry, Rostourism to repatriate Russians from Europe

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsia) is working together with Russia's Foreign Ministry and Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism) to fly Russian citizens back home from European countries, according to the agencies' joint statement.

"At the moment, due to the partial closure of airspace and also due to remaining restrictions at certain Russian airports, Russian citizens who are now abroad may encounter problems with returning home. In this case, Russian citizens should stay in touch with their tour operator or their air carrier and must register at the Russian Foreign Ministry's mobile application 'Zarubezhny Pomoshchnik'," they said.

After specifying the number of Russians who need to be repatriated, a relevant schedule will be drawn up.

"Russian air carriers stand ready to honor their commitments before passengers and to transport them back home if the aviation authorities of European countries take flexible approaches and adopt constructive decisions on this issue," they said.
