LPR says militia liberated 8 settlements during offensive operation

LUHANSK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Units of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) People's Militia have taken control of eight populated areas since the launch of an offensive in Donbas, the LPR Foreign Ministry said.

"As of the evening of February 27, 2022, the LPR People's Militia has liberated eight LPR settlements," the LPR Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Since the launch of the offensive operation in Donbas, the LPR forces have seized Lopaskyne, Muratove, Hrechyshkine, Stanytsia Luhanska, Tryhizbenka, Schastya, Novoahtyrka and Smolianinove settlements, it said.

"The LPR People's Militia succeeded in advancing 56 kilometers in the direction of the Severodonetsk/Rubizhne settlements," the ministry said.
