Number of settlements liberated in Donbas by DPR forces increases to 17 - Donetsk

DONETSK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) forces have liberated four more settlements in Donbas while expanding an offensive, their number has thus increased to 17, DPR People's Militia spokesman Eduard Basurin said.

"The settlements of Dmytrivka, Svobodne, Donske and Anadol have come under control of the DPR People's Militia units," Basurin told reporters on Sunday.

As of February 27, the DPR units have liberated a total of 17 settlements previously controlled by the Ukrainian army in Donbas, namely, Pavlopil, Pishchevyk, Vyktorivka, Bohdanivka, Novohnativka, Mykolayivka, Rybinske, Trudivske, Vasilyivka, Prohorivka, Starohnativka, Svobodne, Donske, Anadol, Andriyivka, Hnutove, and Hranitne, Basurin said.

He also added that now the fighting is ongoing "for the liberation of the Buhas, Kamianka and Volnovakha settlements."

At the same time, more than 20 shell attacks have been recorded in the DPR since the beginning of the day, and one civilian was injured, Basurin said.
