Ukrainian delegation heading to Gomel for talks with Russia - Belarus's National Press Center

MINSK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The delegation of Ukraine is heading to Gomel, Belarus, for talks with the Russian side, the National Press Center of Belarus said, citing Belarusian politician Yury Voskresensky.

"The Ukrainian delegation is headed to Gomel for talks with the Russian side. Yury Voskresensky reported this," it said.

"According to my information, President [of Ukraine Volodymyr] Zelensky has called President [of Belarus Alexander] Lukashenko. President Lukashenko convinced President Zelensky to save the state sovereignty of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian delegation is on its way to Gomel," Voskresensky said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel earlier today that he has had a telephone call with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

Minsk confirmed that the call had taken place.
