Russian Defense Ministry says Ukraine's Kherson, Berdyansk blocked

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Russian military has said that the Ukrainian cities of Kherson and Berdyansk are now completely blocked.

"The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have completely blocked the cities of Kherson and Berdyansk over the past 24 hours," Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Sunday.

"We have also taken control of the city of Genichevsk [Henichevsk] and the Chernobayevka airfield outside of Kherson," he said.
