Over 250 St. Petersburg residents held administratively liable for Feb 25 unauthorized action

ST. PETERSBURG. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Courts in St. Petersburg have held over 250 participants in an unauthorized protest action on February 25 administratively liable, the joint press service of St. Petersburg courts said.

According to the latest data, courts received 262 materials, while decision were made in 251 cases.

Over 60 people were arrest for the period from one to 20 days, 180 got fines from 10,000 to 15,000 rubles, while three people got punished with mandatory works, the press service said.

The courts terminated two cases, deferred two more cases and returned three more to police for making corrections.

Unauthorized protest actions took place in downtown St. Petersburg on February 24-25.
