European Volleyball Confederation cancels all competitions in Russia, Ukraine

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - The Board of Administration of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has made a decision not to hold competitions under its umbrella in Russia and Ukraine, the CEV press service said in a statement.

"As of today, no Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Snow Volleyball events or competitions organized under the CEV umbrella will be taking place in Russia and Ukraine until further notice," the statement said.

Moreover, Russian and Ukrainian clubs will be playing their home matches on neutral ground until the end of the 2022 European Cups season, it said.

"Any other European events originally due to take place in Russia and Ukraine in the coming period will be moved to other countries," it said.
