Russian army operation to defend Donbas to be completed regardless of sanctions - Medvedev

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The military operation to defend Donbas will be carried out in full until it has achieved all its objectives, Western sanctions make no difference here, the Russian Security Council's deputy chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.

"Sanctions have been introduced against all members of the Russian Security Council. I am practically in panic as I write this text. Pity. And what are we going to do now? But, for the record I want to note as follows: 1. First things first. These wonderful bans will change nothing, of course. This is clear even to the ignorant people in the State Department. As is the decision to carry out a military operation to defend Donbas," Medvedev wrote on his Vk account.

"It will be carried out in full, until all the results the president of Russia talked about are achieved. No more, no less. As, by the way, was in a similar situation in 2008," he added.
