Russian border guard injured in attack from Ukraine's territory - FSB

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - A serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was gunned down by Ukrainian nationalists while attempting to flee to Russia on the border on Friday, an officer of the Russian border guard service was injured, the Public Relations Center of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Saturday.

"A serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces seeking shelter in the Russian Federation to avoid participating in hostilities was gunned down by representatives of nationalist units located in the territory of Ukraine on February 25, 2022," the FSB said.

"An officer of the FSB Border Guard Department for the Belgorod and Voronezh regions has been injured while preventing an armed provocation," it said.
