Soyuz spacecraft production for space tourists to continue - Glavkosmos

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Glavkosmos expects that the demand for space tourism services will remain, production of rockets for space tourism is continuing, company head Dmitry Loskutov said.

"The current geopolitical situation, of course, does not facilitate intensifying the interest in space tourism in general. We're continuing [working] with potential clients, or rather their representatives. In any case, hardware such as the Soyuz carrier rocket is currently being manufactured at Glavkosmos' request," Loskutov told the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station.

The rocket will be ready no sooner than late 203, so Glavkosmos "still has time" to look for clients, he said.

"The world is not limited to the country which imposed the so-called sanctions. We're continuing to interact with countries of Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. And work with our European partners is also continuing," Loskutov said.
