LPR records about 600 attacks of its territory, 6 civilian deaths since Feb 18

LUHANSK. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) 595 times in the past nine days, six civilians were killed and four wounded in the attacks, the LPR delegation to the Joint Ceasefire Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) said on Saturday.

"The LPR delegation to the JCCC recorded 595 attacks on the territory of the republic by Ukrainian armed formations in the past nine days," the delegation said.

While attacking the LPR territory, Ukrainian troops mostly used multiple-launch rocket systems and 152 and 122 mm artillery weapons, it said. As a result of attacks, six houses were destroyed, and 61 houses and nine civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

"Six civilians were killed and four sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity," the LPR delegation said.
