Ukrainian troops open fire on LPR 9 times over past 24 hours, killing 2 civilians - JCCC

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - The number of Ukrainian army's daily strikes on the territory controlled by the Luhansk People's Republic has dropped more than threefold over the past 24 hours, the LPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

"The Ukrainian army has conducted nine attacks on seven populated localities in LPR. The attack on the settlement of Donetsky has left two local residents dead," the LPR mission to JCCC said.

The attacks have damaged five houses, it said.

Luhansk reported 33 attacks by Ukrainian forces the previous day. The number of attacks has thus decreased more than threefold.
