Russia not waging war on Ukrainian people, tasks of special operation to be accomplished soon - Russian envoy to UN

NEW YORK (United Nations). Feb 26 (Interfax) - The objectives of Russia's special operation in Ukraine will be fulfilled soon, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said.

"We are not waging war on the Ukrainian people, and we are conducting a special military operation against the nationalists and to protect Donbas residents, and for denazification and demilitarization. These tasks will be accomplished soon enough and the Ukrainian people will be able to decide their destiny again in peace, cooperation and good neighborliness with everyone," he said in a speech at a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Ukraine.
