Russian troops block Sumy, Konotop, taking steps to ensure local security - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Russian troops have blocked the Ukrainian cities of Sumy and Konotop, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Gen. Maj. Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.

"Units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have blocked Sumy and Konotop and are taking measures to ensure security of the civilian population in these cities and their neighboring settlements," Konashenkov said at a briefing.
